Langs sarkastische
Schilderungen von Menschenjagd und Massenhysterie sowie Peter Lorres geniale Interpretation des Mörders als Täter und Opfer zugleich wurden von den Nationalsozialisten nicht ohne Grund als subversiv empfunden.
